Chair Of Governors' Welcome
Dear Friends,
It is my privilege to be the chair of our school's governing body which supports the headteacher and senior management team in ensuring our pupils receive a good education. We are also responsible for ensuring that the religious education and opportunities for prayer and worship are consistent with the school’s Catholic foundation. I am pleased that the recent Ofsted and diocesan inspections have commented on the good quality of the provision the school makes in all aspects of its life. For this we must thank all the staff and the other governors for their service to our school.
The strength of a Catholic school comes from a sense of calling we have from God to love and serve His children. This vocation includes not only the staff and governors but parents and parishioners from the local Catholic churches of St Joseph's and St Francis of Assisi. Together we can enable our children to receive a good Christian education, so that they will have the happy, loving and fulfilled lives that God desires for us all. I would especially hope that all our families, Catholic or otherwise, feel part of this wider community and believe that they can make their own contributions to the life of our school.
