PTA Events
St Joseph's PTA is a registered charity and a voluntary organisation. It comprises of a Chair (Marie Jones) Vice Chair (Rosie Wells) Treasurer and Secretary. We also have a teacher representative and several committee members who are able to cast votes at meetings. Our meetings are held monthly and tend to be on a Tuesday after school. We hold a variety of fundraising events such as: summer fete, school disco and various raffle draws. Our fundraising has enabled us to provide the school with a much needed sun shelter, playground equipment and musical instruments for the children.
As well as fundraising, the PTA also gives the parents a chance to put their ideas forward, share their skills and develop relationships with other parents.
EASY FUNDRAISING
If you use the internet for shopping at over 600 retailers including Amazon, M & S, Next, Game, Dixons, Argos and Toys R Us, please go via a site called Easy Fundraising. Click on the link and follow the instructions; we will get a % of what you spend and it won't cost you a penny more! The first time you log on, click on 'find a cause', enter our account name which is 'St Joseph's RC School PTA Brighton', register by entering your name and email address (it only takes a minute) then you can go to any of the 600+ retailers and browse or shop.
